Diversified Specifics offer a comprehensive approach to developing, implementing, monitoring and validating the items per kilogram (IPK) sampling methodologies employed by Postal Authorities around the globe.

Our statistical methodologies have been developed in concert with leading academics and are premised upon deriving outcomes in situations where standard procedures for normality are not appropriate, such as those characterizing the international flow of mail items.

The sampling methodologies we develop conform to (and in many cases exceed) suggested Universal Postal Union (UPU) standards whilst also premised upon accepted statistical principles of best practice.

Our high standards and attention to detail within the sampling process ensure that final IPK estimates are reflective of the critical dimensions relating to international IPK mail flows and are accompanied by confidence interval bounds and precision estimates.

At the request of our clients we can also link the sampling activities directly to an automated system of IPK estimation on a country-by-country basis.

o       Providing workable recommendations that ensure IPK data is continually collected from a statistically structured and representative sample of mail flows;

o       Rolling audits of physical sampling activities involving gateway visitations by Diversified Specifics team members to monitor inbound and outbound international mail sampling activities;

o       Correspondence with other Postal Authorities for the purposes of terminal dues settlement to highlight the methodological aspects, sampling design features, overall IPK estimation approach and summary statistics supporting the statistical validity of the estimates; &
